About the programme

The Graduate Programme in Teaching English to Young Learners at the Faculty of Education is a pioneering initiative that integrates Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) with early years education.

The program is taught entirely in English. It provides students with a unique opportunity to delve into language education while gaining a solid foundation in teaching science, mathematics, art, music, and physical education for young learners. Going beyond the basics, we introduce students to bilingual teaching practices both in Europe and globally, presenting insightful comparisons of education programs across various international contexts.

To enrich the learning experience, we have designed a curriculum that seamlessly combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. Our esteemed staff, comprising both academic researchers and active teachers, play a dual role within the educational institution, ensuring a dynamic and comprehensive learning environment. Students benefit from this dual perspective, gaining insights into both theoretical frameworks and practical teaching methods.

As part of our commitment to experiential learning, students actively participate in international projects initiated by the Faculty. Moreover, we organize engaging field trips to international and bilingual schools in Poland, providing students with firsthand exposure to diverse educational settings.

A key feature of our program is the inclusion of year-round pedagogical placements in carefully selected schools, encompassing both public and private institutions. This invaluable experience allows students to immerse themselves in different approaches to early language teaching, with a particular focus on the CLIL approach. Through these placements, students acquire practical skills, engage with various teaching methodologies, and develop a nuanced understanding of effective language education practices.
