She is based at the Faculty of Education, University of Warsaw, Poland. She is a Honorary Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark, and visiting Professor at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. She has long-standing research and consultancy experience in the fields of teacher education, teachers\u2019 role and continuing professional development, teachers\u2019 professionalism and ethics, and educational leadership. Her research work focuses on educational leadership, school development, teacher education, teachers\u2019 and school principals\u2019 development, and research ethics. She is actively involved in many national and international research projects. She has delivered keynotes in a wide range of countries. She has acted as an expert advisor to international bodies and has been involved in research and educational programmes relating to school leadership, teachers\u2019 success, teachers\u2019 role, competences and professionalism, teachers\u2019 ethics, and teacher education. Prof. Madali\u0144ska-Michalak currently serves as the series editor of a Brill Book series entitled: \u201cKey Issues in Teacher Education: Research, Policy and Practice\u201d, and as a member of the editorial board of a Springer Book series entitled &#8220;Evidence, Science and Public Good in Education&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">She serves for global, international, and national scientific organisations. She is a vice-president of International Association of Educators (INASED), a member of the Board of Directors of International Council of Education for Teaching (ICET, since 2017), a member of Council Board of European Educational Research Association (EERA, since 2008), Chair of Teacher Education Policy in Europe Scientific Network (TEPE, 2017-2020), and a member of the Executive Body of the Board of Scientific Associations at the Polish Academy of Science (since 2017). She served for World Education Research Association (WERA) as a vice-president (2016-2020), and for Polish Educational Research Association (PERA) as a president (2014-2019), and as a vice-president (2011-2014). She was an expert at the European Research Funding 2007-2013 7th Framework Programme.
