[EN] Terms and Conditions of Registration and Participation in the Jane Addams 2025 Conference

§1
When registering on the Conference form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf5FOVEYfJDUgaR1nUtpFa60gk7hBFWI6BCSC36cG9oi5EXfQ/viewform , you are registering to participate in the “In the Spirit of Jane Addams: Global Dialogue, Social Change, and Community Engagement in the 21st Century” International Conference, Warsaw, 25–26 September 2025, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Conference’.
§2
The Conference is exclusively academic and educational in nature, related to the participants.
§3
Participants confirm their attendance at the Conference by paying a Conference fee of the following amounts:
- Full fee: 120 USD
- Reduced fee (for practitioners): 80 USD
- Reduced fee (for students, doctoral students and senior researchers): 50 USD
Conference fees are paid to the University of Warsaw (UW). Uniwersytet Warszawski, ul.
Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warszawa, VAT ID 525-001-12-66, REGON
000001258.
The fee must be paid by 1 September 2025 to guarantee participation in the Conference.
Upon receipt of the payment, the person indicated in the payment acquires the right to fully participate in the Conference, according to its schedule, from 25 to 26 September 2025, and to obtain a certificate of attendance, if it takes place.
§4
Participants can make payment to the UW by bank transfer to the account number indicated by the Conference organiser, or by Visa and MasterCard credit or debit card. Credit card payments are processed by PayU S.A.
§5
The Conference fees minus bank charges will be refunded if the cancellation is received before 31 August 2025. After 1 September 2025, but no later than 10 September 2025 . All refunds will be made within 4 weeks of the closing date of the Conference. The funds will be refunded to the card used to make the payment or to the account from which the transfer was made.
§6
Participants may not transfer any rights or obligations arising from these Terms and Conditions to third parties without the prior written consent of the Conference organiser.
§7
All matters not regulated by these General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Polish Civil Code.
§8
Disputes are settled by arbitration. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be referred to the court in whose jurisdiction the organiser has its registered office.
§9
Conference participants will be informed in writing of all changes and additions to the General Terms and Conditions.
§10
Participants’ data collected during online registration will be stored by the University of Warsaw, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, Warsaw, NIP 525-001-12-66, REGON 000001258, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 04.05.2016, p. 1, as amended), as well as the Act of 10 May 2018. (Journal of Laws 2019, item 1781) for the purpose of processing this Agreement. The data is provided free of charge, but is necessary for participation in the Conference. Participants have the right to view and change their data.
CLAIM POLICY
All complaints will be dealt with within two weeks of receipt in writing addressed to the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Education, JaneAddams2025, 16/20 Mokotowska Street, 00-561 Warsaw; but no later than 1 September 2025.
