Students’ Union

The Students’ Union, composed of 5 elected students, is the primary body of the Faculty’s Student Government. Members serve for one year, concluding in November or upon graduation for final-year students. The Chairperson(s) sits on the Faculty Council and may represent the Student Government at the UW Student Parliament.

The self-government’s key role is to safeguard students’ rights and advocate for their interests at the faculty and university levels. It offers advisory support in challenging situations, addresses social issues, and advises on accommodation and study plans. The SU has access to UW budget funds, supporting student projects and organizing events like shake-ups, parties, and gatherings. Additionally, it fosters connections with external entities and promotes student scientific and cultural activities, aiming to enhance internal community integration.
