Seminarium międzynarodowe – 12 marca 2024

W dniu 12 marca 2024 r. (wtorek), w godz. 13.30-15.00 w sali 413 odbędzie się seminarium międzynarodowe na temat: “Przywództwo pedagogiczne jako proces doskonalenia szkoły“.

Przywództwo pedagogiczne jako proces doskonalenia szkoły stanowi obecnie istotne zagadnienie badawcze, będące także kluczowym elementem konstrukcji polityki edukacyjnej. Lider szkoły, uznawany za kluczową postać w procesie rozwoju szkoły, pełni rolę decydującego czynnika wpływającego na skuteczność zmian, działając jednocześnie jako wewnętrzny agent zmiany, nadzorując procesy wzrostu i odnowy.

W trakcie wykładu zostaną omówione aspekty efektywności i rozwoju szkoły, z naciskiem na pedagogiczne elementy przywództwa. Przedstawione będą również analizy roli obserwacji lekcji w procesie rozwoju nauczycieli, a także kluczowe działania skutecznych przywódców. Wśród tych istotnych aspektów działań skutecznych nauczycieli wyróżniają się: klarowność, różnorodność, zaangażowanie w zadania dydaktyczne, skupienie na procesie nauki oraz zapewnienie satysfakcjonującego stopnia sukcesu dla każdego ucznia. Wykład ukazuje, że skuteczni nauczyciele charakteryzują się zdolnością do odkrywania osobistych celów nauczania, świadomością własnego zachowania, doświadczaniem stanu flow oraz byciem liderami liderów. W końcowej części wykładu zostaną poruszone pytania związane z przywództwem pedagogicznym, skupiające się na skutecznych interwencjach, szczególnie z perspektywy pedagogicznej.

Pedagogical Leadership as a Process for School Improvement

Exploring the relationship between school leadership and student learning, as characteristics of school improvement, is getting higher on the policy agenda all over the world. Furthermore, the school leader is most often cited as a key figure in the individual school’s improvement, either blocking or promoting change, acting as the internal change agent, overseeing the processes of growth and renewal.

Thus, the purpose of this presentation is to get participants acquainted and familiarized with school effectiveness and school improvement, focused (primarily) on pedagogical aspects of leadership. Then, we will discuss why classroom observation is necessary for teacher growth and explore key actions of effective teachers, which are important in order to have effective teaching and learning. These are: Clarity; Variety; Dedication on their teaching tasks; Focus on the learning process; and a Satisfactory degree of success for every student. Thus, we will (hopefully) reach the conclusion that effective teachers: Discover personal goals for teaching; Are cognizant about their own behaviors; Have flow; and Are leaders of leaders. At the same time, key questions related to pedagogical leadership will be tackled focusing on effective interventions, especially from a pedagogical point of view.
