Erasmus Scholarship Qualification Rules for Partial Studies Abroad to Universities in EU Member States and Countries Associated with the Program, and the UK

I. Application process
- Submit the required documents within the deadline set by the Qualification Committee (see recruitment schedule) and register via USOSweb.
The documents for qualification are:
- Certificate of grade point average for the last completed year of studies (minimum 3.49). If the student is in the first year of a two-year Master’s program, the grade point average must refer to the last year of a Bachelor’s program. Conditional enrollment to the stage of studies in which the recruitment takes place is permitted but only concerning failure in one subject (as of the date of application).
- Certificate of proficiency in the relevant foreign language and the level of proficiency (according to the Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement), choose one of the following:
- a. Certificate of language proficiency for scholarship purposes issued by the University of Warsaw Centre for Foreign Language Teaching.
- b. Certificate of language proficiency issued by the University of Warsaw Centre for Foreign Language Teaching or another Polish university.
- c. External certificate:
- English: Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT)
- French: Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF B2), Diplôme approfondi de langue française (DALF C1, C2)
- >Spanish: Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) Nivel B2
- German: Goethe-Zertifikat B2, Deutsches Sprachdiplom II (DSD II) B2, Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch B2 Mittelstufe Deutsch
- Russian: TRKI 2 (TORFL 2) Russian state certification system for foreigners, Russkij jazyk povsednevnogo obshcheniya – certificate in general Russian language: Postporogovyj uroven
- Italian: Certificato di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana – Livello 3 (CELI 3)
- A list of subjects indicating compatibility of the partner university’s offer with your study program.
- A cover letter that demonstrates your motivation, achievements, and involvement in university activities.
Documents should be submitted in „sleeves” (plastic folders) to room 114 or in the ERASMUS folder (in the cloakroom). Please note that we only accept COPIES of documents.
- After the initial qualification of the student by the Committee at the Faculty, the UW International Relations Office (BWZ) forwards nominations to partner universities.
- Register in the foreign university’s system and complete the formalities required by them (e.g., submit a nomination letter from BWZ, a transcript of records in English, proof of foreign language proficiency). Information on this can be found in emails from partner universities, on the foreign university’s website, and if this is not available, you should contact the mobility coordinator of the department of the foreign university to which the student is going directly.
- Ensure that the required documents are delivered to BWZ (e.g., Letter of Acceptance – universities usually send documents by email after completing the formalities) and that other formalities are completed (e.g., OLS language test – information about the date of the test along with a link is sent to qualified students by BWZ, agreement before departure), in accordance with the guidelines provided by BWZ.
- Prepare the Learning Agreement and send it for consultation to Dr. Joanna Dobkowska, the Mobility Coordinator of the Faculty of Education (jdobkowska@uw.edu.pl)
- Before departure, ensure whether the host university participates in the EWP (Erasmus Without Paper) system or not. In both cases, the LA is filled in USOSweb.
- If so, fill out the LA in the EWP form. It is created by the Coordinator after the student enters basic data regarding the trip. After entering them, please inform the Coordinator (jdobkowska@uw.edu.pl) about the need to create an EWP LA.
- If not, fill out the LA in the „old” e-LA form. If the „old” e-LA template is not displayed in USOSweb, please contact Ms. Agnieszka Tokarzewska (a.tokarzewska@uw.edu.pl).
